Gizmo Hall - Saxophones, Flute, Clarinets
Gizmo Hall is an aspiring Jazz Saxophonist, having played the instrument since his sixth grade year. He attended Schofield Middle School in Las Vegas. He soon started private lessons with Bill Trujillo. Gizmo then went onto the Las Vegas Academy of Performing, Visual Arts and International Studies. He started out as a band major, but as soon as a Jazz Studies major was created, he double majored in both Band and Jazz Studies, with his main focus being Jazz. Throughout his four years of high school, Gizmo participated in Jazz Band, Concert Band, Honor Band and Jazz, All-State Band and Jazz, and many various Solo/ Ensemble competitions, both as a soloist and as a member of Quartets and Quintets. Both solo and ensemble works are featured on this site.
After graduation on June 12, 2008, Gizmo received notice that he would be able to attend Roosevelt University, and is currently preparing to start college on September Fifth, in the grand, historical, and Jazz filled city of Chicago.
He is currently engaged to Melissa Quitoriano, his girlfriend of three years, who attends Roosevelt University as well.
Gizmo plays all saxophones, flute, clarinet, and bass clarinet. However, his main concentration is the Baritone Saxophone.
Gizmo's main influences include: Joshua Redman, Ronnie Cuber, Gerry Mulligan, Nick Brignola, Gary Smulyan, Michael Brecker, Chris Potter, and David Sanborn.
